Mr. Jason Vanderheyden is a leader in the medical technology sector. In his most recent role at BD Canada, Jason established innovative partnerships with Canada’s leading health systems. Prior to joining BD, Jason was with Medtronic where he led Medtronic’s innovative partnership models to deliver better patient care while lowering costs through new approaches to value-based healthcare. Prior to leading VBHC at Medtronic, Jason led Government Policy at GE Healthcare. Jason works to connect the medical technology sector with policymakers and other health system leaders.
Mr. Vanderheyden is past-chair of MEDEC’s Federal Affairs Committee, which aims to advance cross-industry issues on Parliament Hill. He has published on value-based healthcare and time driven activity-based costing. He has consulted Governments and health system leaders on the future of healthcare delivery and value-based care. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario and his Master’s Degree, in Health Care Delivery Science, at Dartmouth College.
