Dr. Nancy Young is a leader in child-centric health assessment methods. Her research has enabled children’s perspectives to be included in health research. Over the past decade Dr. Young has developed close collaboration with Indigenous health leaders in Canada, and together they have developed and tested the Aboriginal Children’s Health and Well-being. The ACHWM is being used across Canada and has connected many children to new supports to promote well-being in a good way. Community data have supported requests for additional health supports in rural and remote First Nations and supported many local program evaluations – bringing evidence to small community projects. She is part of several Indigenous child health projects and is currently leading the Evaluation to Action (ETA)project. Her publications are available online.
