Mark Daley, PhD, Western University

Dr. Mark Daley and his research team are devoted to the development of computational and mathematical methods and techniques for modelling, probing, and understanding our world. Dr. Daley and his team have made contributions to a diverse range of disciplines including neuroscience, astrophysics, genetics, psychology, cancer biology, and medieval musicology. The application of their integrated, mathematically grounded approach to modelling most recently led to the development of a blood test for concussion, providing an objective lens on traumatic brain injury which affects as many as 23% of Canada’s youth each year.
