EPID@Work Research Institute Workplace and Worker Health Study
September 2024: Lakehead University is pleased to share a groundbreaking new study in workplace mental health by our research institute, Enhancing the Prevention of Injury and Disability at Work (EPID@Work). This observational cohort study, the “Northwestern Ontario Workplace and Worker Health Study (NOWWHS),” is examining the factors that impact mental health and well-being in the workplace.
All workers and employers in Northwestern Ontario can participate in the NOWWHS via confidential surveys. These surveys will examine the factors affecting worker mental health in the workplace every six months for the duration of the study. For employers, this research could provide valuable insights and strategies to improve the mental health of your workers. The research team at EPID@Work will work with employers to utilize the information in order to develop interventions and strategies to improve mental health in the workplace. This will be the most extensive cohort study focused on Northwestern Ontario!
